The UNS Chemical Engineering Study Program's vision is based on the Vision of the University (Institution) and the Faculty, the results of self-evaluation, and predictions of the development of the situation that the Chemical Engineering graduates will face. Recent developments in the situation indicate that Bachelor’s Degree in Technical Engineering, herein after referred to as PSSTK, must be able to produce graduates who can compete at the global level, especially at the regional level, due to the enactment of the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC). On the other hand, Indonesia's biological resources are very diverse and require a touch of chemical engineering to produce added value. Efforts to create added value must be carried out continuously so new products based on biological resources will emerge.
In addition to aspiring to excellence in the field of biological resource-based chemical technology at the global level, PSSTK is determined to maintain national cultural values, which is expected to be an advantage for PSSTK graduates. The national cultural values in question include, among others, cooperation, kinship, tolerance (respect for others), humility, courtesy, and honesty. Based on this framework, PSSTK formulates a vision as follows:

To become a Chemical Engineering higher education institution that excels in the chemical industry based on biological resources at the international level based on the noble values of national culture by 2030.

The missions of Bachelor’s Degree Program in Chemical Engineering

1. Conducting a Bachelor's degree education in Chemical Engineering that emphasizes a steady mastery of chemical engineering fundamentals, fosters sensitivity to the needs of the community, fosters an entrepreneurial spirit, and forms a person who has flexibility in self-development, as well as creates a conducive academic atmosphere in the context of developing good personality and national awareness
2. Conducting research that leads to discoveries in chemical technology based on biological resources.
3. Organizing community service activities based on research results in chemical engineering.
